Quick answer

Use Turnips for a four-day turnover, Cabbages for higher one-time value, and Strawberries or Peas when you can afford a 300t seed that regrows every three days after its first five-day harvest. Water every planted tile daily—unwatered crops pause instead of dying—and stop planting anything that cannot finish before the season changes.

Before you start

The actionable checklist

  1. 01Count remaining growth days before every late-season seed purchase.
  2. 02Keep the morning watering workload below the point that blocks shops and quests.
  3. 03Save one first-quality crop for donations or requests before shipping the stack.
  4. 04Use a mix of fast crops and regrowing crops instead of betting the whole field on one harvest.
01

Choose crops by job

The best crop is the one that solves your current bottleneck.

Fast cash: Turnip

Turnip seed costs 25t, matures in four days and sells for 40t. It is a low-commitment way to recycle a small amount of money into the next planting.

One-time value: Cabbage

Cabbage seed costs 70t, needs nine days and sells for 180t. Use it when the calendar has room and you do not need that seed money back immediately.

Repeat harvests: Strawberry or Peas

Both seeds cost 300t, reach the first harvest in five days and regrow every three days. Strawberries sell for 125t and Peas for 135t, so plant early enough to collect several harvests.

02

Design around daily maintenance

A profitable plot that consumes the whole morning can slow every other system.

Know the watering rule

Crops do not wither when a day is missed, but they make no growth progress until watered. Regrowing crops also pause, so missed watering shifts every later harvest.

Expand in small blocks

Add one compact block after a harvest proves you have spare stamina. Keep walking lanes clear and avoid isolated tiles that add tool swings without improving output.

03

Close Spring cleanly

The final planting decision should be based on the calendar, not optimism.

Calculate the last safe planting day

Subtract the listed growth time from the days remaining, then leave room for any missed watering. Stop buying seeds when the crop cannot reach harvest before the season ends.

Prepare for withered crops

Most seasonal crops wither after their season. Clear the dead plants with the sword, preserve your field lanes and arrive in Summer with seed money already reserved.

Field notes
  • Fruit trees need a completely clear 3×3 area, take 14 days to mature and do not require watering.
  • Do not compare crops only by sale price; seed cost, first harvest time and regrowth all change the result.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do crops die if I miss a day of watering?

No. They stop making growth progress until watered again, which still delays the first and later regrowth harvests.

Which Spring crop is safest for low cash?

Turnip is the simplest short cycle: 25t seed cost, four-day growth and 40t sale price. It will not maximize every metric, but it returns cash quickly.
