A NEW FARMER’S FIELD GUIDE

Start your new life in Mistria

A first-week route that respects your time and stamina, from the first crop patch and starter tools to the Request Board, the Mines and a daily rhythm that feels good.

QUICK ANSWER

Do not clear the whole farm in week one. Tend a small plot in the morning, bundle town errands at midday, choose one afternoon focus, and use shipping, donations and quests to reach Town Rank 10 and unlock the Mines.

Start with one manageable patch
WEEK ONE

Six goals are enough for a strong start

  1. 01

Plant a small crop patch you can water without draining the whole morning.

  2. 02

Check the Request Board and your mail before choosing the day’s route.

  3. 03

Collect the starter tools and complete “Do a Bro a Favor” for the pickaxe.

  4. 04

Ship, donate and finish quests to raise Town Rank toward the Mines unlock.

  5. 05

Keep a few useful materials and new finds instead of selling everything.

  6. 06

Meet the townspeople naturally while errands take you through Mistria.

YOUR FIRST DAYS

A simple route from farm to Mines

Put the most useful unlocks first, while leaving room each day to explore at your own pace.

01
Day 1

Make the farm workable

Clear only the space you need, till a compact plot and plant the seeds you already have. Celine supplies the worn hoe during the opening day, so learn the farming loop before spending on a larger field.

Leave stamina and daylight for exploring the town.
02
Days 2–4

Build your tool set

Eiland gives you the worn axe at the start of Day 2. Read the Request Board and take “Do a Bro a Favor” when it appears; its reward is the worn pickaxe. Requests do not expire, so accept useful jobs without turning the calendar into a race.

The Request Board sits between the General Store and the Mill.
03
First milestone

Reach Stone Rank and open the Mines

Donating discoveries, shipping goods and completing quests all add Renown. Town Rank Level 10 is Stone Rank and unlocks the Mines, giving you a reliable source of ore, combat practice and new discoveries.

Claim rewards from the chest beside the Request Board as Rank rises.
A CALM DAILY LOOP

Give each day three clear beats

Do not try to touch every system every day. Finish a small dependable loop, then choose one main goal.

Morning

Handle the farm first

Water crops, check ready harvests and clear only the debris blocking today’s plan.

Midday

Bundle town errands

Read mail, check requests, donate new finds, shop and greet villagers in one circuit.

Afternoon

Choose one focus

Mine, fish, forage or finish a quest. One clear goal uses stamina and travel time better than chasing everything.

FARM & RESOURCES

Sell for progress, keep for flexibility

Shipping raises Renown and funds seeds, but future requests, recipes and museum donations also need materials. Keep a small reserve of new or slow-to-replace finds, then ship the surplus.

  • Grow only what you can water comfortably.
  • Donate a new discovery before selling duplicates.
  • Keep wood, stone and ore when a repair goal is near.

TOWN & QUESTS

Let errands move the story forward

Story quests unlock useful systems and requests provide rewards and Renown. Because accepted quests do not expire, you can gather matching errands and finish them along the same route.

  • Check the board when your route passes through town.
  • Read the Journal when an objective is unclear.
  • Collect Rank rewards beside the board.

MINES & SKILLS

Turn one afternoon into focused progress

Once the Mines open, arrive with room in your bag and a clear target: ore, combat practice or exploration. Repeating the activity you actually need also develops its matching skill.

  • Empty unnecessary inventory slots before entering.
  • Bring food when you plan a longer stamina-heavy trip.
  • Leave enough time to return safely.

PEOPLE & GIFTS

Build relationships without a rigid schedule

Talk to villagers while shopping, donating or completing requests. Once someone matters to your route, use the character and gift pages to plan a focused present instead of guessing.

  • Greet people already on today’s route.
  • Use birthdays for planned gifts, not panic.
  • Follow the characters you enjoy; there is no first-week deadline.

COMMON MISSTEPS

Doing less can keep progress moving

These choices will not ruin a save, but they often make the first week slower and more tiring than it needs to be.

  1. 01

Clearing the entire farm before you have a use for the space.

  2. 02

Planting more crops than you can water and still enjoy the rest of the day.

  3. 03

Selling every new item before checking donations, quests or recipes.

  4. 04

Ignoring mail and the Request Board until useful unlocks pile up.

  5. 05

Trying to farm, fish, mine, forage and socialize deeply every single day.
