Skills refer to how well The Player performs at a certain activity. 9 different types of activities are tracked: Combat, Farming, Fishing, Mining, Archaeology, Cooking, Ranching, Woodcrafting, and Blacksmithing. The more you participate in each activity, the higher your Skill Level in that activity will become. Increasing your skill level at an activity will unlock the ability to craft and cook higher level recipes, as well as unlock different Skill Perks for The Player.

Each skill currently has 60 levels. Skill levels can be viewed through the Journal (found under Skills), this can be brought up with the Open Journal action (default is Icon of the escape button ( escape key ) on PC).

Skill Perks

On Year 1, Season icon spring.png 3 Spring, Caldarus will grant The Player the ability to sense and collect Essence.png Essence. Collected Essence can then be offered up to Caldarus' shrine, and in exchange, Caldarus will grant The Player Skill Perks. Skill Perks are extra bonus abilities or buffs for your skills. As The Player's level in a Skill increases, they can unlock higher Tiers of Skill Perks. The 9 core Skills currently have at least 4 Tiers of Skill Perks each.
