Infusion gives your crafted, cooked, or forged items bonus effects, if the proper requirements are met. Items can have one infusion.
Infusions are added to items randomly, the chance can be improved by disabling the skill perks related to unwanted infusions. Some items come pre-infused.
Blacksmithing
It is possible to reload your save until you craft the armor or weapon with the Infusion you want. You can disable the skill perks related to other infusions so they are not applied.
If the required Skill Perk is enabled (Fortified Blacksmithing, Hasty Blacksmithing, etc.), the chances of getting any one infusion is 15%.
- If the
Empowered I is unlocked, this chance rises to 20%. - If the
Empowered II is unlocked, this chance rises to ?%.
Fishing Rods are unable to be infused.

Cooking
If a relevant Skill Perk is enabled (Restorative Cooking, Speedy Cooking, etc.), there is a 25% chance of getting one infusion. Enabling more than one infusion splits that 25% chance evenly between them.
You can disable the skill perks related to other infusions so they are not applied.
